Where are toyota pickups made

    Where are Toyota pickups made? I always thought they were made overseas but am hearing they are made in north America. I would be willing to believe that since trucks are put to use more in this country. I heard that Tacoma's are made in California but I just dont see that.

    I know a lot of the toyota PARTS are made in Canada... not sure about the whole assembly though. Thats why the only 'foreign' vehicle i would buy is.. well.. toyota.

    couple places i'd assume.. I know there is a big toyota plant in San Antonio

    where do tyotas profits go??? i believe they just shut down one of the stateside plants

    Many late model Toyotas are built here in the U. S. If you check the VIN it'll tell you where it's built:

    The following is determined by the first digit of the VIN:
    U.S.A.(1 or 4)
    Canada (2)
    Mexico (3)
    Japan (J)
    Korea (K)
    England (S)
    Germany (W)
    Italy (Z)
