SANY0659 (2).JPG Well I'm finally done my 1988 Blazer. But I notice the the 350 V8 has 210 hp, Not exactly a rocket speed. What Can I do to get the horse power upgraded my anemic engine ? I can't find a sigle set of headers. SANY0179.JPG Standard 88 Blazer 350 V8 engine Bay.jpg

JT what helped my same engine you have is under drive pulleys but get the three pulleys and your volts will drop when at a stand still.

On headers see if a muffler shop to make you some or order make your own headers pieces of pipes I seen that on tv

Summit Racing has them to work with oh let me explain this better on this show had some headers but they didn't fit so the builder order the box of mandrel bent pipes.

Checked summit or jegs, they may have some to fit. Its where I looked when I was thinking about putting headers on my 94 they had a set or shortys that would fit but the price was a shocker.

I second that both his trucks are super nice.

Today I noticed a spot around the size of a grapefruit on my truck bed the clear peeled off my running board on the top of the wheel wells the clear is coming off I wish I had the money now to get those places cleared.

Leo, What is that ? I found a company who swears that 2 of their headers sets will fit my Blazer. I could put a Summit throttle body that flows 670 CFM intake. Which is hopeful it would make a difference, but without a set of high flow headers it a waste of time. These early TBI OBD-I engine are very hard to get to generate any meaning full power ? 88 Engine Bay-3 (4).jpg
