Considering my age and the anorexic condition of my wallet, it's all the ***** I can get, 10-4? WTF, at least the kittehs make good bed warmers in cold weather, LOL. :applaud:

Had a fire in the wood stove last night, got the living room nice & toasty while I was watching some entertainment, and it didn't take long for the three kittehs to make their way into the room and position themselves near the wood stove, LOL. Those kittehs are no dummies, they know how to take advantage of the radiant heat... Sage was under the nearby coffee table, while Jingle Belle and Crackhead were a bit closer to the source, those knucklehaids. Check 'em out:

Don't mind the cat toys in the pics, got two dozen cat toys strewn throughout the house, LOL. Kittehs sure liked that radiant heat from the stove last night, it kept the house warm all night too, even though there was ice in the birdbaths this morning. Oh, yeah, the pot & pan atop the stove are filled with water, a trick I learned from an old school local to humidify the house, otherwise it gets too dry with the heat... this process ruins the pots & pans, but no worries, these were two old numbers which I readily sacrificed, and I can use 'em forever, the insides just get too scaled out to use for cooking anymore. Meh, the world needs humidifiers, and here in the White Mountains this is how it's done.

Some more pics of the kittehs, plus a few of the trees outside this morning... air is even fresher than usual after that storm, I might have to get outdoors today for awhile and take a hike or a bike ride, it's so beautiful out there.

That's Crackhead checking out the poor sewing job on my Chinese AC/DC slippers... toes are already blown out, I'm gonna hafta try to sew 'em up again myself, maybe take an industrial stapler and staple 'em back together, LOL. After awhile, the stove got too hot for Jingle Belle, so she relocated to that dining room chair, 10-4? I still hafta recondition those chairs, haven't gotten around to it yet... another project for this spring. The trees look pretty good despite the long drought, this last storm brought plenty of wind so all excess needles and dry smaller branches got cleaned off the trees... no worries, I'll burn 'em later in my fire ring, plus I use the needles and twigs to start fires in the wood stove. Like an Eskimo village, NOTHING IS WASTED... well, except the HOME OWNER, LOL.
