Nice day in IL. sunny & near 60. Sis had a garage fire wednesday night. Good day for cleanup, reflection, good friends, neighbors & family today. Amazing what people can do when they come together. Possible snow & freezing rain in a few days

Has been nice here in central oklahoma this week temps near 70 but suppose to start being cold sun, then next week cold again. I just hope we don't get the blizzards we had past two years they were awful, dumping 8-12 inch snow, where we don't see maybe a couple inches twice during our winter. Had enough snow to last a long time.

Weather here... low 60s for the high, cloudy with weak sunshine, hopefully it gets better in the next few days. Big surf due to a storm out in the Pacific, so the waves have been good, but they should be tapering off here in short order. Best weather I remember: big ol' winter storms in '78 and '83, including the bad boy that broke up the I.B. Pier and left a huge pile of wood on the beach here in Coronado. The pile was bigger than a two-story house after beach maintenance equipment and city loaders raked it all up... sheeeee-it, we burned that wood for a month, if not more, with a crew of volunteers humping that wood down to the fire pits. Took about ten of us to haul the broken pier section down and hurl it on the bonfire... had to do it in short steps too, lifting that heavy s.o.b. and walking it only so far before setting it down again. From the city-raked pile to the fire rings, about 100 yards, same length as a football field. Boy, those were the days, with big ol' bonfires raging and locals partying hard. In those days, we often rode bikes instead of driving, because we knew we were gonna be hammered before it was all done. End of story, so much for the weather, yeah?
