towing

    I really like this site because everyone is so helpful.So I am going on a 900 mile trip with my 1997 f350 dually 7.3 with a 5 speed standard and I am pulling a trailer with 7000 pounds.Does anyone for see any problems that could arise?

    Top off all your fluids including the rear axle.

    As long as your total weight (load and trailer) doesn't exceed your capacity I wouldn't think you would have a problem.

    Yea the use of alot of gas. Just do a good once over, check the belts, hoses, brakes, make sure fluids are all full and ready, if needed do the oil changes and what not, make sure rad is full and coolant is on good shape. I would also have either full or empty jugs of extra mixed coolant incase you get a leak and your in the middle of nowhere you have some to get some place safe to get repairs. Make sure tires are in good shape and have the right air pressure. You should be good go.
