my 95 K1500 350 ci has been dropping oil pressure when idling, the oil is full, when I tap the accelerator the pressure comes back to normal. is this something yo worry about?

Probably pretty normal. Chevies can run on very low pressures, and the loss of pressure at idle is very normal since the engine is not spinning the pump very fast.
This only becomes a problem if and when the gauge gets to zero.

your oil pump is driven off the camshaft, so it is only natural that your pressure is directly related to your RPMs... my truck is the same way

    Oil Pressure

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the oil pressure sending unit. It's a relatively cheap fix. Or at least you can exclude the sender. I have an '88 C1500 and it was a fairly easy fix. Good luck

How low does the pressure get? Low oil pressure is not good, but as long as you have 10 pounds at a hot idle, and the guage climbs right up on a rev you should be ok.

I have a 90 C1500, it's been dropping to about 25 lbs at idle, then jumps to about 30 when I accelerate.
