I went to remove the corner light on my 94 Toyota pickup. After I backed out the two screws I could see that there are two plastic pins holding it to the grill. All this plastic is old and brittle. How can I get it off without breaking any of the plastic.

    Thanks, Smitty

Thanks for posting that, but this is a different system than my 94 pickup.

Does those plastic pins have a nut on them ? If so then, try unscrewing the nuts, might also be barrel clips holding them into thje grill, if so, pry gently. It too might be better to remove the entire grill then You can get it out to where You can see it all.
Sometimes it is easier to remove an entire assembly than to try and squeeze in to get a job done.
    Please report back Your findings.

If the only method is to pry them out and they are old and brittle, just be careful and make sure you have access to new ones if they do break. Things get old and break. Just gotta be careful.

Yes Mr Marty. There is something inside the pin that flares it out, but I don't think the lens come off to get at it from the other side. I think the lens and the body of the corner light are all one piece.

Yours just a regular 94 pickup? from another forum quotes

There are little plastic peices attached to the side marker light that kinda snap into the grille.
You just need to pull it and it will pop out. It feels like somthing is gonna snap but you will see the 2 prongs slowly pull out [IMG]

The guy wanting to know how said....Thanks, that did it! I thought it was going to break!

Another forum guy said.....remove the 2 screws on the outer most part of the light.
Take a flathead screwdriver and push it between the light and the headlight peice.
Pry apart to detach the snap plug things (two of them)
Pull assembly out and remove plug
take out bulb+socket by pushing in and turning

It always feels like you are going to break somthing but its fine..
