When did Chevrolet introduce the " Z71 " option and what is a Z71 option ?

The option is skid plates, Bilstein shocks, and 265 tire size. I’m not sure when.

And as far as the market place goes, there's a whole lot more L88 Corvettes floating around than Chevrolet ever built ?

Now if your truck is a Z71 it can be just a two wheel drive or 4X4 trucks have changed.

I owned a regular 1997 k2500 4x4 model and a 1997 GMC Sierra that was a Z71. I didn't notice much of a difference between the two even though one was a 3/4 ton. Same gas mileage on both. Both had the vortec 350 5.7 L automatic transmission. The K2500 had the 4L80e and the Z71 had the 4L60e.
