BATTERY CABLES

    many times we have postings for no crank, no power, etc...
    .i posted that i had the starter rebuilt and the starter shop said it looked like it had been hurting for voltage...
    i had posted about finding green inside the cable,
    this pic is 12 inches back from the battery,, it is 1/0 cable, imagine what that type of corrosion would do to the 4 or 6 gauge on a truck

    ..dirty ground somehow..goofy over charging alt?

    Was it the neg or positive cable?

    nope just 36 years of rain, wind, snow, hot, and cold....all new now and fires up nice

    :rofl: the green on outside..will not hurt..just clean ends up be good. You could paint green..as long as ends were clean...what a martin/ green guy from mars told me.

    nope...will hurt....i had a weaved ground that i thought was ok...bought a new battery...turned out it degrade the wire and would not let the power flow correctly..

    the batteries i took out this time tested good with load, but my load tester is made for lighter batteries
