A friend had his truck into shop and they changed a solenoid for heater controls?? Still does not work properly. Cold on driver side but passenger side throws hot air. Anyone experience this? This is while running the air conditioning. .

Probably a blend door actuator. Sometimes the grease they put in the actuator shorts out the connection, so all you have to do is take it out, take it apart and clean all the grease out of it. Put it back together with new grease. I have seen resistors go out inside the actuator so it is possible that the actuator will need to be replaced if it's not the grease problem.

My 03 bonneville did this and what I researched was it was low on freon, I added a can and all vents blow cold air. Might have the freon checked it could be low but also a blend door not working right.
