I have a 1989 f250 with the I6 and the 4 with OD and it shifts alright, but in reverse it goes in alright, but once I've I start moving and let the clutch out the shift nob moves to the left a lot. Like 4 or 5 inches and if I put the clutch in fast it snaps back really fast and makes a pretty loud clunk. If I push the clutch in slow it moves back slow and doesn't make a clunk. I'm thinking it's a broken motor or tranny mount? Anyone got any thoughts?

agreed mounts are a good place to start, also look for a broken support
